Sewing From Patterns

In my experience students love sewing… even students I wouldn’t expect. A small stuffed animal or bag offer a unique sense satisfaction that a two dimensional work can’t, sewn pieces can be enjoyed visually and tactilely without fear of breaking. I’ve Get out of your comfort zone and try a small sewing project from a pattern. The hardest part is teaching students to tie a knot at the end of their thread.

poly stuffing (recycle an old pillow)
